Mastiha Essential Oil

The mastiha oil is the essential oil obtained from the distillation of natural mastiha. The yield of mastiha oil varies from 1% - 3%. The mastic oil with union flag Chios Mastiha is guaranteed pure and unadulterated.

It was first made in Braunschweig, Germany, by dry distillation in 1573 and quickly became known in Berlin pharmacist's circles and in "Avgousteio Pharmacopoeia» (Pharmacopoea Augustiana).
